FaCT forges partnership with Gate Safe

Stacks Image 893365
Gate Safe has joined forces with FaCT (Fencing and Construction Training) to raise awareness of the required safety protocol for anyone involved in installing automated and manual gates.

FaCT is one of the largest providers of training, advice and support to the fencing industry in the UK and will be working with Gate Safe to promote its IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) accredited Gate Safe Aware training courses, which run every month throughout the country.

In addition to helping to educate the industry on the importance of the correct safety protocol for an automated gate, FaCT and Gate Safe are looking to explore opportunities to create a dedicated training module which will provide guidance on the correct installation of a gate to minimise the growing number of falling gate accidents.

Commenting on the new working relationship, Tim Drew, Managing Director of FaCT said, “We are delighted to be forging an alliance with Gate Safe, the pioneering charity which first brought the issue of automated gate safety to the attention of the nation. Our priority is, and always will be, the delivery of training which is representative of a standard for excellence in relation to safety issues. Education on the required safety protocol for automated gates will only be successful if it is presented in a format / tone of voice which is easily understood by the industry, for that reason, Gate Safe’s ‘plain English’ practical approach very much resonates with FaCT.”
