Gate Safety by Design

01303 840117

Since its inception, Gate Safe has always advised of the need to incorporate safety considerations into any gate installation at the design stage, rather than focus on retrofitting safety features to mitigate inherent design faults.

Launched in 2023, the Gate Safety by Design initiative represents a focus on the important design factors which will impact on the safety of any gate.

The campaign objective is to raise awareness of this fundamental principle to reduce the number of accidents – and fatalities – which could have been prevented had the correct measures been taken to ensure ‘safety is designed in’ from the outset.

Gate Safe is committed to providing specific guidance on a variety of design considerations which will impact on gate safety.
