MUKILTEO, Wash. — A 10-year-old Everett-area boy was killed Thursday when a heavy wrought iron gate at a church fell on him and he suffered a major head injury, the Mukilteo Fire Department said.

A 52 year old man has today been found guilty of gross negligence manslaughter following the death of a Blofield Heath woman in 2013.

Following a joint investigation undertaken by Norfolk Constabulary, Norfolk County Council’s Trading Standards team and the Health and Safety Executive, Robert Churchyard of Turner Road, Norwich, appeared at a two week trial last year and then at a retrial this week. 57 year old woman crushed to death by electronic gate in Israel

A woman was crushed to death in northern Israel Friday by an electronic gate.

The 57-year-old from Nazareth Illit was on her way to work at a supermarket in the northern city of Migdal Haemek when a heavy electronic gate leading to the store closed on her.

She was taken to the hospital in critical condition but was later pronounced dead.

Hebrew media reports said it appeared she was crushed by the gate after trying to open it.
